This rock and roll thing still gives me life and that’s not gonna change. -Motor Ace

My love of music started with my Dad keeping me up late on school nights to listen to classic records.  While my folks have questioned whether this makes them bad parents, I know it makes them the best kind of parents – those that instill a love of music in their kids. I remember a lot of Beatles, Doors, Vanilla Fudge, Cream, Grand Funk Railroad and Cat Stevens in those days.  As music evolved, we listened to R.E.M., Moody Blues, REO Speedwagon and Green Day in our house.  As a teenager, I found my own musical interests – I think very much informed by the bands my folks listened to – although they would deny that now.  I found Arizona music when I was about 12, and the rest of my life has been highly focused on this nerdy obsession.

From a technical standpoint, I have dabbled in trombone, guitar and now, bass. In bass, I have finally found an instrument for giant clumsy girls.

Bands I Like:

Strange Young Things, Gin Blossoms, Tramps & Theives, Ghetto Cowgirl, Violet Wild, Shelby James, Muddy Violets, Los Guys, The Persuaders, The Black Moods, The Maine, Arizona Local Music, clearly.
